A very happy person from Hong Kong just sent me the following, which he found on a Computer forum hosted in England:
"CoolWWW, about:blank, LopDotCom, Zestyfind, CWS, Startpage.4.ap and virtually all of the other rubbish out there CAN be gotten off of your computer, and CAN be KEPT off your computer. There are several free programmes which are somewhat effective part of the time. There are two programmes which work all of the time. They, however, are not free.
If you go to http://bubdaddy.blogspot.com/ you will find secure links for downloading the free stuff, and secure links to the manufacturers if you want to order the stuff that really works.
See the May 24 and May 25 posts, and also the April 21 post. In fact, visit them in chronological order. There are a lot of photos and personal messages there, but the PC security information is tested, accurate, and reliable.
If you're going the free route, take notice of the difference between MERIJIN.ORG AND MERIJN.org - the former is a conduit to the type of rubbish you're trying to avoid....the latter is the author of COOL WEB SHREDDER. Look VERY closely at the way you type in their address!"
